August was not a "Birders Paradise" in Ballantrae. Very hot and no migratory birds...yet. They will come! But, some of the Juvenile bird coloration was good enough for a photograhper. You can always find interesting birds and wildlife Ballantrae.

 Green Heron One of the frequent pond inhabitants. Lightning fast strikes at small fish and lizards with this long neck. |
